Hong Anh Medical Campus
The name “Hong Anh”: Hong means Lac Hong, the ancient spirit and culture of Vietnam. Anh means the UK. Literally Hong Anh means UK Vietnam. In full, the project name – Hong Anh Medical Campus (HAMC) means UK Vietnam Medical Campus. Both names could be used interchangeably or alternatively. For branding and marketing purposes, HAMC and UK Vietnam Medical Campus are in use in both Vietnamese and English respectively. There are other meanings of this name but we invite you to find out when you know us better.
The HAMC project is a state of the art healthcare system comprising a medical training and research centre, a network of clinics and pharmacies, senior living/nursing homes, step-down facilities and rehabilitation centre, to be followed later by a world class hospital. Additionally, there will be staff accommodation and ancillary facilities to support the community. We aim to establish the HAMC under the British standards while complying with the highest international standards to be developed in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The key element which will differentiate this medical campus from the many other healthcare facilities in HCM City, is that its staff will be trained to international standards continuously.
We established the HAMC in 2017 and officially launched the project in February 2020. We are developing 3 phases at the moment, in line with our business plan. The project aims to develop and operate an effective and professional healthcare system under British standards in Vietnam to serve the people of Vietnam.
The HAMC is managed by our own management team in collaboration with clinical institutes and individuals across UK and South East Asia as well as specialist operators as appropriate. We are continuously supported by the British government through DIT, HealthcareUK, the British Embassy in Hanoi and the British Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City.
