HONG means Lac Hong, the ancient spirit and culture of Vietnam. ANH means the UK. Literally HONG ANH means UK VIETNAM. In full, the project name means UK Vietnam healthcare system. For branding and marketing purposes, Hong Anh Healthcare Group is in use in both English. The name has been changed from Hong Anh Medical Campus (in English) which has been used since the inception of the project. That has now been changed to “Hong Anh Healthcare Group” in full or in short “HAMED”. There are other meanings of this name but we invite you to find out when you know us better.

The HAMED is a state- of-the-art eco-healthcare system comprising a medical training and research centre, a network of clinics and pharmacies, senior living/nursing homes, step-down facilities, wellness and rehabilitation centre, and a world class hospital upon completion. Additionally, there will be staff accommodation and ancillary facilities to support the community. We aim to establish the HAMED under the British standards while complying with the highest international standards. The key element which will differentiate this healthcare system from the many other healthcare facilities in Ho Chi Minh City, is that its staff will be trained to international standards/British standards continuously. 

We established the HAMED in 2017 and officially launched the project in February 2020. The HAMED is being developed in Ho Chi Minh City and the South of Vietnam with an aim to operate an effective and professional healthcare eco-system under British standards.

The HAMED is managed by our own management team in collaboration with clinical institutes and individuals across UK and South East Asia as well as specialist operators as appropriate.
